Ok this is going to sound stupid but what do DS vibrations feel like? Where do they become noticeable?

I ask because I just bumped my TT up a little yesterday, and I feel something coming through the steering wheel. It's a high frequency low impact vibration; something I could easily ignore.

I just don't know if this was always there and got worse a bit, or if I didn't take my anti-psychotic medication this morning and am just imagining things ;)

ETA: Reason I ask is because I have the front drop kit and the DS spacer kit but never installed them.

Well, crap. Don't have a 22mm socket. Off to Lowes I go!

ETA: All done! Let's see if it does it :)

How much does the drop affect ground clearance if at all?

I am doing this install right now and got to the point of reusing the washer, except I can’t get the washer off the bolt. The threads are larger than the washer.
Has anyone run into this issue? Or some suggestions on how to get the washeroff without damaging it.

Update: I have to be doing something wrong, and beating the crap out of the bolt with a hammer didn't help at all.

If I remember right its the black large coned washers. Not the washer on the bolt

I thought about that too, but I ended up cutting the bolt in half with a grinder, got the washer off though. Still have no idea if I needed this or not but I installed it like the factory one had.

There is very very little angle change. Unless you are talking about camera angle. Look at the surroundings... Lower a-arm, shock, tie rod. The axel is at the same relative angle to previously mentioned parts.

    Are these kits really necessary?

On the driver side, that black bar that is right next to where the spacer would go. Did you have to move it or cut it? I started to do mine and I had to stop and bring it back to oem because it was in the way. I couldn't drop it low enough to get the spacer in. I tried loosing it and every thing other then cutting it, but it was still in the way?

Did anybody else get this problem?

I don't mind grinding it but not sure if that is safe?

It seems to me that I've read a ton of info on TW about diff drops being not only ineffective, but a bad idea in 2nd gens?
Definitely remember someone posting pics of what happens when you whack a dropped diff on a rock.

The same thing that happens when you whack an undropped diff on a rock. That's why they make skid plates.
