engine braking

    spindle lift with dakar leaf pack, blacked out headlights and tailights, satoshi, debadged, HID headlights n fogs, flowmaster 40 single in dual out
    so when i bought my truck last year, the engine braking was really good. a year later, i feel that the engine braking isnt as efficient as it used to be. am i just crazy or is something just not working? if so, how can i fix it?
