i just spoke with my local 4x4 store/shop, they want 116 for the pop n lock power version, and 175 to install it... does this sound like a good deal or a rip off? if its a rip off, am i better off installing it myself?

    thanks

I have one that ties into the remote wires...

It takes about an hour to install (2nd time) and 2 hours the first! ;) Great addition to your truck.

Not a good deal at all. I bought the manual pop & lock for $58 cdn. Love the lock! Install was very easy and did it myself. I wouldn't pay that much. I'd go with the manual lock instead of a power one at that price :)

I have the powered version and like it a lot, didn't want a extra set of keys (manual version). Shop around you should be able to get it for about $100 and then do a DIY install. Check out this thread : http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/showthread.php?t=258651
