Idle

Was just driving the Taco to get some gas, had no A/C on... Mom said the other day that my truck sounded funny (she hasn't been in it in about 10K miles and I'm at 50 now, due for some service). Anyway noticed that I was idling at 500RPM at the light... Doesn't this seem low? How high do your trucks idle?

Not really... maybe my truck has somethign wrong with it too... but with no A/C on sitting at a light I idle somewhere around 500.

 

Perhaps I'm just paranoid... Placebo effect I suppose.

I've put 10K miles on my truck in the last six months.

 

With the a/c off mine idles at about 500 also. I almost forget it's on when it's that low lol... It only seemed do do that after I dropped in the k&n... though I'm sure I just happened to notice it then and it was doing it all along.

 

mine was doing that when I installed a amp and sub, turns out the battery was bad. go get it checked, its free.
