It looks stable in the pics but I don't know about the heat. Silverback you have any issues with it rattling around or moving too much without the hangar back there?

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
How is the sound in comparison to a non-modified exhaust?

Got off work late today and didn't make it in time! I'm gonna get it done tomorrow!

Last question Silverback I promise lol! I see in the pic of your undercarriage you don't have a spare. I know that some guys roll without, some guys keep it in the bed or on a tire gate, some guys just roll with fix-a-flat. Do you keep yours out or did you just have it out for the pic.

Just didn't know if you had a concern about the exhaust dumping so close to it.

I think he might of moved it to make room for the air tank.

EDIT: I think you should just go buy a hack saw and chop it off yourself, its easy.

^ agreed. I actually cut mine off today at location B. I prefered to keep the extra hanger for now. It took me about 40 seconds with a sawzall.

Thanks Silverback! Checking that tiregate thread now ;)

I agree Carson- My dad has a sawzaw and just doesn't have any metal cutting blades. I am gonna pick some up tomorrow and hack it off me self!

    Way to go Taco Ron!

Has anyone who cut it at the turndown after the axel AND kept their spare in the stock location had any issues with the heat on the tire?

I wonder if it's possible to fab up a heat shield for the tire.

    I DID WORK SON!!!! :)

I cut it today with a rotating saw deal my dad had- Love the results! Much cleaner look now IMO!

After a LOT of driving no heat issues with the spare tire as silverback said. No wobbles- its planted just fine. No louder that I can tell.

!!!!THANKS FOR ALL THE ADVICE GUYS!!!!

How about a shot of the rear of the truck? I'm curious how it looks without the tail pipe visible.

    hilarious...

Really though, I'm wondering if it cleans up the back of the truck considerably or if it doesn't make much difference.

After seeing this thread, I think I will cut mine back a little further and loose the extra hanger. Thanks for the help, guys.
