I've got one, but it's sitting in my garage looking for a new home
I kept having to take it off, so I just got a roll up one.I liked it, but it was spending more time off the truck than on. |

I really don't know about leaks.... I don't ever remember checking when it's been wet. I don't think it did, but
![]() There is a gap between the tail gate and the cover, but I think there's a seal that covers most of it. I'll check tomorrow when I get home from work.... |

I have the Bakflip G2. Install was quite easy. You lose the bedside railings. It does leak a little bit if there is heavy rain, not too much. The company that I bought it from sent tubes so that I can drain the water but I think I need to drill holes so I never used it. Anytime that the bed would actually get wet it would be the end near the cabin. If installed correctly, water should not be able to leak in on the side of the bed because the cover comes with rubber that would cover the side edges (also for the rear where the tail gate is.
I like the way how it folds back which was very convenient when I needed to put things on the truck that would be too high. The wires that were used to hold the cover were pretty cheap. It could have been the way I put installed it but it seems like not all the edges of the fit perfectly under the railing to make it "anti-theft." If some really wanted to steal whatever that was under this cover, all they had to do is stick a crow bar between the cover and the tail gate and pry. The cover would EASILY pop open. I was thinking about getting the pop n lock thing too but what's the point since people can easily break in if they really wanted to. I like: The way not much water would leak in even through heavy rain. The looks. How it's flat. The way it folds. I drove 300 miles with a cooler that was taller than the cover so I placed the cooler at the end and tied it down. There wasn't a problem at all. I don't like: The way the rubber seal on the side looks pretty cheap. The way that people could break in if they really wanted to. How, let's say if you were to fold the covers back and your truck has been the sun for a while, the metal parts would be HOT as hell when you put your hands on them to fold it back. Would I buy it again? I don't know...I mean it looks nice and low profile but I'm not sure if it's worth the money. I don't use it as much, as in I don't work with tools and I don't haul anything. I just got it because it looks nice and didn't cost as much for a fiberglass hard tonneaus. I didn't get the soft ones because IMO they look really cheap because of the snap on buttons and all. Sorry I don't have pictures yet. I don't even have a camera. LOL never intend to buy one. Maybe I'll take pictures on my cell phone and show you guys one of these days. Hope this information helps.

Cleared for Takeoff!!

I have the Bak Flip on my 08 Tacoma and love it. I drilled two holes close to the cab and put plastic tubes down for the water to drain and It stays completely dry all the time. I have had it for about a year now and works well. I installed the Pop n Lock Electric Tailgate lock which works very well. No Problems here.
