    I don't find the term "Taco" demeaning...

    although, I don't refer to my truck (or other Toyota trucks) as "Taco"

    for us it's "the Tacoma"... "the truck"...the "pickup"...or the "Toyota". Conversely, we call my wife's car "the Accord"... "the car"...or "the Honda".

    when we had an Acura MDX...we called it "the buggy".
