I was thinking of painting my exhaust pipe rather than putting on a chrome tip, with black heat paint. Has anyone done this or better yet have pictures of it?

    Welcome to TW!

I find this funny, because I was considering doing it too. However, the heat enamel paint isn't necessary as best I can tell. Just regular rustoleum spray paint will probably do just fine.

Funny you ask, I just did this on my black truck and on my brothers white truck. I think it looks a lot better and don't know why I didn't do it sooner. I'll try to get some photos some time tomorrow for you.

Thanks for the photos. I like it, I think I'm going to go for it. I may try the high heat enamel first, and maybe coat that with some good old rustoleum. I think I might like the flat look better.

That looks great acesii. Is that semi-gloss black, or just the flash from the camera?

Did you use the high-heat paint?
