I have the same truck as you. Just had the TSB done and the rear sits higher in the back than the front. I just want to level it out without spending a lot money....but want it to ride good. 5100's are the way to go....but be careful or you will compress your springs and give you a rough ride.

Of course there are other options you can look into.

Go with 5100's they are awesome, no need for new springs these shocks were designed to use the oem springs. you wont regret it.

^He's right. My wife and I put them on my truck today set at 2.5", I was worried about the harsh ride, but it really is better than the stock TRD shocks by FAR. We did the rear 5100's as well with an AAL from Toytec for TSB springs.

I'd say to go the 5100 route, well, because I went that route, and I'd look dumb saying go any other...

EDIT: Oh and the "TRD" springs you speak of will not lift your truck... FYI

Ditch the factory stuff, and go 5100's or OME.. 5100s are very easy, and work great. Be sure to replace the front and rear.

SamSter0077, why do you need to replace the rear with 5100's? I have a TRD with the package. Would I need to replace the rears with the 5100's?

I want to level out the front, but am happy with the TRD Bilsten shocks I have. Thanks

I just replaced my rear TRD shock absorbers with the OME shock absorbers and it made a significant difference in the ride quality.. the factory TRD shock absorbers were plumb "bumpy" and the build quality as compared to the higher performance model was dramatic.

Doing the rear will only change the ride quality.. it will not affect the height of the back at all. I am putting OME struts up front this weekend for lift.

if you just want to level it, go for the 5100's up front and find the setting that levels it. I think you can find a set of four for around $300.00.. OME is going to be around 699.00 or so Front/Back.
