Got t-boned but minor damage.

My truck got hit on the passenger side, pretty much right on the wheel. The running board got bent and a small chunk taken out of the fender flare.

The real problem I noticed was the position of the steering wheel while driving. When driving straight the wheel is a good 20 degrees off from center pointing to the left. So it's going to the shop to find out what's up.

 

could've been worse, at least you are ok. and the steering wheels is probably not centered or w.e they call it. or you need a new alignment. either way shouldnt be nothing too bad...

by the way, who's fault was it?

 

I assume it was hit on the front wheel? That sucks man. At least you're okay. You know all of us TW fools want to see pics though!

 

If that's the only problem you have with the steering wheel the alignment tech should be able to correct that.

Well, no one was issued a ticket. But here's where the fun begins:

My son was driving with my wife in the passenger side. My son is on a driver's permit. The Saab that hit my truck was probably a late 80's model and had minor damage to the bumper and grille.

My son was at a 4 way intersection with 2 stop signs. He was stopped and facing someone also stopped making a left turn. My son pulled out to go straight and the car making a left cut him off forcing him to stop in the middle of the intersection. At that point the woman driving the Saab slammed on her brakes and hit the truck.

The jerkass making the left turn bailed the scene.

Glad to hear everyone is ok...you pretty nice dad to let son lean to drive in your truck. I've been drving for a couple years (8 in all) and my dad still wouldn't let me drive his 07 for a year...

 

not to jack the thread here but how did you like the oem running boards? ive been wanting to get them but i think they might be a little cheap.

 

Sorry I haven't responded, had computer problems. I've been pretty happy with the OEM running boards. That was one the things my wife wanted when I was in the market for a truck. She's kinda small and helps her to get in.

So far it's looking like I have a badly damaged steering knuckle at the very least.
