    Looks great!

I was considering doing this to my Black Sand Pearl Access Cab Sport, but never got enough motivation.

Hmmm... I have an extra set of headlights now, might have to give this a shot. The output looks very nice, I think I'd like to do duals though. Looking at the front end of your truck with the lights off, I'm just waiting for it to blink at me. Even worse maybe wink.

EDIT: You should do some eyelids, top and bottom to make them a little more streamlined. I think that would look good.

do it!! why would you even need duals though? the single TL has plenty of output! plus, it would be VERY hard to fit two projectors in there...

x2. There is definitely a niche market for this. It would be a nice way to make some extra money on the side, and help out some fellow Tacoma owners without the knowledge or tools necessary to pull off the job.

dont worry, i just picked up an extra set of projectors to play around w/ some ideas! the aim is to produce something that will be completely bolt on, including the shroud and all! if you can do the BHLM, you will be able to install what i hope to sell....stay tuned!

why would i piss them off, i have a properly aimed, razer sharp cutoff w/ OEM color bulbs? i did a retro for that specific reason, i wanted better light on the road, but i didnt want to be one of those annoying people w/ blue lights that look like your driving around with your brights on all the time.

it was actually funny, when i was talking to some people work about it, they all said the same thing..."so your going to be one of those people w/ blue lights that i hate cause you blind everyone, huh!". but, once i educated them as to how i was doing it properly and showed them the cutoff, they were all amazed.

I've had the TL retro for over two years and never had a complaint or been high beamed. If they are properly aimed they will be less blinding than the stock headlights.

^ please remove this TERRIBLE kit from my thread please...much appreciated!:D

what i have in the works will absolutely KILL that kit...and look good while doing it...;)

EDIT: that 2nd kit uses good projectors, good ballasts if you get the used mats or denso, but cheaper bulbs. go phillips or go home if your doing a retro...they can be had new for $70 on egay, or ~35-40 on HIDplanets if you search in the for sale section.

Yeah, I don't know anything about the first kit. It is more or less there to show that there is a plug and play projector kit but it is not of very good quality.

The second kit as you read and edited your post uses FX based projectors with the option of running Matsushita or Denso ballasts. These were also posted to give you an idea of what was available to help with the pricing of your kit.

^ cool, thanks. i will most likely be using TLs for my kit, as i have a set and will be including vacuum formed shrouds w/ it. i dont have the resources to do different kinds of shrouds, as the vacuum forming stuff is not at my house, it is 2 hours away at my parents!
