I wanted to light up my cup holder area, my wife has a Nissan Rogue and she has a dim amber light near the sunglass holder that shines down on the console.
I thought about putting an led strip underneath the lip on the center dash, just above the climate control. Could I just buy a strip of three orange lights 3m double tape it to that area and wire it to my fuse box some how???
    Any comments or suggestions
    Thanks
    Barry

You know this is actually a factory option on the 09 Tacos.. (I have it in mine). You can pull the console out and actually drill a hole in the side of the cup holder area (or multiple holes). Insert a single LED per hole controlled by a switch.. tie the switch into the fuse box...

You could use something like this:

    http://www.oznium.com/thin-led-strip

Oz has tons of lighting products that will fit just about any application you can throw at them. Best customer service around too.

nice link, but how is it wired into the stock wiring or into the fuse box, If I'm just starting from scratch, with a led strip, where does that get wired to???
I don't already have LEDs in the door.
    Thanks

I wouldn't put too many lights in there, you'll get too much and it will glare inside your cab at night. The write-up I did, which was posted above is sufficient, the radio shack LED's aren't very bright so overall its perfect, but if you want a little more light, you could use 4 altogether. My setup is wired into the dimmer system so it works with the dimmer switch.

I have close to 17 leds on the interior. Blue 5mm from oznium.com...they are no where near too bright, and can be turned off any time with a switch :)
