Just was looking at Outlawoffroadstore.com and they have AMP power steps(almost like oval tube steps) for 05+ tacoma dbl cab/access cabs. Their pricey at $1200 but just another idea if you've run out of mod options. Anyone install these before, do they bolt on? looks like they tuck in up under the frame nicely, but going through water/mud and perhaps hot lava might destroy the drive motors. Any thoughts......

Do you really need steps that retract is the question. Seems like a waste of money when the steps that don't retract aren't in the way of anything. If you offroad I am sure those power steps might get messed up.

Nah, don't need em' but definitely something on the wish list. I got the KARR side step but only for the front doors. I rarely have pasengers in the back of my dubcab so not really looking for full steps yet.

Why not a true "step" like Nfabs have and you would only be looking at $400-500 installed.

Some of the Titan guys run those boards and they seem to like them!

That's a trick mod if you don't plan on wheeling as I'm sure they would get mangled if you drag the rocker panels.

My cousin has the ones that are just 1 small step that comes down, on either side- on his silverado. They are pretty badass. They are a LOT shorter than the ones that are long steps like the guy has on the titan^^^. My cousin has 9+inches of lift so its VERY functional.

That's a sick looking Titan by the way.
Maybe i'll go find a rich midget girlfriend and convince her to buy those for me so it will be easier for her to get in and out.:D
