You might find the right combination to get decent sound out of your V6 truck, but it will never have that deep throaty sound like a big block Chevy. Just my opinion, but 4 and 6 cylinder engines were meant to be seen and not heard. There is no way I'd ever do anything to make my 4 banger louder....I don't want to hear it.

I'm not trying to offend anyone. I've owned several muscle cars, and have a 4th gen. Camaro SS right now. Anything smaller than a V8 just doesn't really sound good to me.

Well, I reverted back to stock. It's just not the sound I'm looking for. I'm happy with a silent truck. Again, thanks for the input TW.

I can see where you are coming from. I had a Flowmaster 40 Series on my Cherokee and it sounded great but it got tiresome. Then I had a Gibson cat back on my Tahoe and it had that nice low rumble and really only came out when you stepped on it but of course it had a 5.7 liter V8.

I heard some new exhausts that are available for the new 2010 V6 Camaro and it just doesn't sound right. My tastes have also changed as I have gotten older as well. I just haven't heard a good sounding aftermarket exhaust for a V6.

Yeah, I just don't think these V-6's sound that great with exhaust, after having the magnaflow on it, then hearing a few at the dealership with TRD and stuff, they just don't sound right. Ahh well. I did talk with the dealer and the warranty is still good. So I'm happy. I'll just put that $200 to something else, maybe some more lights up front on the bullbar.

I've got to respectfully disagree. I had a friend with a 500+rwhp Infiniti G35 coupe. Twinturbo, aggressive Cams, built motor, full 3" exhaust, line locks, drag radials and on and on... that thing sounded like a freakin' BEAST!!! The lope from the engine was SICK!!! It made a stock C6 vette sound tame.

I have Gibson cat-back system and an AFE CAI, it is one mean sounding son of a bitch. Sounds super deep for a v-6, especially in high rpm
