Question What are the biggest tires.

I was wondering if anyone new for sure what the biggest tires your able to fit under a 2006 double cab 4x4. Looking to move up in size without having to lift or level the truck. Thanks.

Welcome to TW, coastie. Blow the dust off that search option up top and key in "biggest tire on stock truck". You'll have to sort through some xtra crap, but I'm sure you'll find some good info in there. I'm not trying to be a dick, just trying to help you learn your way around TW. Good luck.

BTW, I think the answer is 32", but double check that.

Hey guys thanks for all the answers. I was searching around in here tring to find the asnwer to the biggest tires you can fit under a stock 06 4x4 doublecab and everything I have read talks about lifts prior to the size tire they use. I measured and it look like I have about 2 inches all around not including suspention travel. Would like to bump it up to a 285/70/R17. Just wondering if anyone has done it or tried doing that.

i just had 265/75/r16's put on my 2005 4x4, they dont scrub, but its close. i was told by 3 different tire shops if i went any bigger i would have to have a lift or i would have some major scrubs, they also said if i didnt get the lift i might could get away with some trimming and takeing the mud flaps off, so anyways i went the safe route and stuck with the ones they said and im happy with the size they look sooooo much better than the stock 245's now the 4x4 looks like a 4x4

Bad idea coastie... that would do rub ur fenders a lot. Even if you had a 3" lift it would rub a tab bit. Get 265/75/16 and you shouldn't have no rubber issue. I know for sure people with Destination A/T don't but people with ranger R/T do sometimes.

The people at Revtek Lifts recommend the 285/70/17 with their 3" lift.

What about 17's???

Hi there...I'm wondering the same thing -- what's the biggest tire size I can go on my stock rims/suspension. I have the TRD Sport package on an '08 Tacoma Double Cab and it came with 265/65/17's. They look to be 30.6" tall. I've done a bit of reading and it looks like the stock suspension should be able to accomodate 32" tall tires. If I do the math right (which I may not be doing so feel free to criticize), I should be able to clear 265/70-17's which would be an inch taller at 31.6". I'm assuming that 265/75-17 tires at 32.6" would rub. I know that different tire vendors' tires vary in dimension. Any help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS! G²...
