Stock Single Cab 2WD options??

I've posted my trucks picture in my first post, but to refresh its a completly stock 05 single cab. No frills at all, small steel rims, no lift, manual 5 speed.

I want to make it look a bit better, can i put a slight lift on it and go with a bit larger tire and rim set? I dont want to risk loading it down or making any problems pop up since its stock. I'm not looking for a super high truck, just something that more like a "truck" know what I mean?

Any pictures of those that did something would be nice to see too.

 

i have or well had the same set up the base model at first i wanted to lift it so the first thing i did was put some bigger tires and that made a big difference even with everything else stock and it gave me a little more clearence. i put on 30x9.5 which were fine no rubbing issues at all. but after that i went with a street haha.

but also there is a ready lift which is about a 3 inch lift which would put you at a good height or i think you can run some billstein 1500's and a AAL in the rear. i think either way the biggest tire you can put on there is about a 32 with out haveing to cut anything.

I think its a 5 lug, need to pull the hub caps off to be 100% sure.

So if I get a rim/tire set from another Tacoma that had larger ones it will work stock? I see a ton of nice rim sets with new tires for sale on craigs list here in San Diego all the time. I dont want a monster, just something a bit larger to improve the looks.
