That looks awesome. I'm too cheap though. I just put the cabinet locks in mine. I really only store tie downs and stuff like that so I couldn't justify spending the money.

I put one in a few months ago and love it. I store some hand tools and bungee cords in it.

If anyone does organize a group buy on these, let me know! I actually was on TRDparts4U last night and saw this and would really like the usefulness of having a lockable storage compartment in the bed.

The compartment is pretty useless unless you lock it somehow huh? I can't imagine what I'd want to put in there that I wouldn't mind someone jacking in a parking lot or something. =/

For an extra $40 you can get the Undercover Swing Case Truck Toolbox: http://www.autoanything.com/truck-toolboxes/61A3956A0A0.aspx. I can't tell for sure but it looks like for $40 more you get allot more space.

Is the box you installed waterproofed?

The lock which is on the box can be drilled out in about 10seconds. Its the same lock as on the mailboxes, I drill mailbox locks all the time, because some of my wonderful tenants loose or refuse to return keys...

Maybe I am being too technical...lol

My grandfather used to tell me that "A lock will only stop an honest thief."

    +1 on the group buy!

@ the OP: How did you manage to get matching locks? Does that mean that if I order one, the keys on mine will work for someone else's box?

I bought one of these and was very disappointed. Tuffy says the box is supposed to be somewhat water resistant and comes with weather seals. After I installed the box and tightened everything down, there was about a 1/4" gap at the top of the box where the seal isn't even making contact with the box. Upon further examination I could tell that it was because the assembly where the lock latch mates up was welded too close to the door (obviously a MFG defect). I emailed Tuffy to tell them about the problem expecting that they would take it seriously, after all if my box was made this way chances are there are a lot more boxes with the same problem. Instead I was advised to try installing a washer OUTSIDE the box to go around the lock mechanism. Really?
Man, I don't mind paying for quality, but I was not impressed at all with the box or the service after the sale. Bummer, could be a good product.
