Grillcraft grill?

I just recieved my new Grillcraft grill from the ToyotaNation group buy. I was wondering for the ones that have installed the grill if you just installed over or cut out the center and mounted? Which would be suggested?

I'm planning on cutting out my grill. I've seen people that left their grill and it is pretty easy to see through the grill.

I cut my old one out, upper and lower. Cutting also makes it easier to drill the mounting holes and attach the screws. I admit it was a bit scary to take a saw to my new truck though.

I cut mine out and the screws were still a little tough to get in, I can't imagine it with the old one still there. It also looks much better.

That is why I got a second grill for the Satoshi Grill Mod. I can take as long as I need to build it, and if I screw it up my truck still looks great. Plus, I can go back to stock anytime I want.

That's why I bought the grill craft grill. I'm planning on attempting the deep dish grill, but if I can't get it to look good, then I'll just install the grillcraft. I figure I can sell the grillcraft for $130, so I won't be out anything if I decide not to install it.

Satoshi Grill Mod??? Please explain further or throw me a link. Is this the one that sits further back and more closely resembles the FJ grills?

Yeah, that's what I am planning. It is similar to the V8 Tacoma grill.

Check this out...

I plan on doing this to my "second" grill, but I am going to try to put recessed lights in the grill (if I am so skilled). It will look similar to the new Mustang GT grill.

I think its so cute that your modding the hell out of your truck to compensate for not having a V6 or 4wheel drive. You just keep doing what your doing 007! Maybe one day you can have a big engine and a 4x4 and not have to overcompensate with a bunch of mods

I think it's so cute that you had to get a V6 4X4 to compensate for your small wee wee ha ha
