In California, it is illegal to have a forward facing red. Forward facing red lights are allowed only on emergency vehicles. Blue is technically allowed but I wouldn't do it, so as to avoid any hassle with police.

Lets get our own TV show going.
Instead of a car, we would have a Double Cab tacoma, gotta have room to put the bad guys. Would have the strobing light in the hood scoop.
The trucks name would be Taco, and the driver would be a super model turned crimefighter.

You guys won't have to wait long... I already ordered one last week. Hopefully it will be here sometime next week. Cheesy or not, I had to do it... I grew up with Knight Rider and it's probably the show that made me so fascinated when it comes to cars (that and the Dukes of Hazzard). I was hoping I was the only one to do this mod... but it looks like someone beat me to it (at least on a taco). To start, I'm going to have it hooked up to a switch so I can run it when I please... keeping the pullovers to a minimum. ;) But down the road, I gaurentee I have something nobody has tried before... but I'm not saying anything until I know I can get all the peices to the puzzle first. I feel like I'm getting too old to be doing this shit, but I don't care I want to have fun with my truck and it's one of my few hobbies. Now if I can just figure out how to make it transform into a superfighting robot... :D

Thats tiny dude.... I got the 15" Plasmaglow led scanner. I ordered from taillightsmania.com for $30. http://www.taillightsmania.com/product/Plasmaglow-Night-Raider-LED-Scanner/Default.aspx

Oh shit, I just realized they jacked the price up on it... just last week they had them on for $30 but I guess I got lucky. I know if you search there are a couple places that offer them for around that price, but none of them were shipping to Canada. I lucked out there! :D

I have my hood scoop gutted and meshed, and I already have a good idea how everything will mount. I don't care how corny this ends up being, I'm excited to do it for some reason. lol

How about some flood lights of some sort for night time off roading?? I know I could probably fit about 5 of these 1 watt Luxeon LED's that I just bought for my mini-mag in that scoop. Aim them for the ditch and sides. If you were retro you could put a black strip on the center of your hood kinda like the Dodges hemi scoops to reduce glare. These 1 watt LED's I just got rival a SureFire in output... very nice bulbs at 15-20 bucks a piece.

Not saying I'd actually do this, but if you want to do such a mod, why not have function?
