I'm intstalling a JVC KW-NX7000 into my 2010 trd tacoma w/out the JBL amplified system. I'm told I need a special OE adapter...has anyone done this, does anybody know the part number?

    Thanks in advance,
    patrick

There is a module, not sure who sells it, but any installer should know and be able to get it

Check out http://www.pac-audio.com/, same product that's linked from Crutchfield avobe. It's not OEM, but it's the only one that I know of that makes these. You can get these much cheaper on eBay.

Actually installed one a month ago after putting if off for 10 months. Love having the SW controls back. I was going to do the install myself for my Eclipse AVN 2210 but it was worth the $50 to save my self the headache.

I was checking into this when there was an audio control leather wheel in the FS section. From what I gathered you'd need a different clockspring & a different airbag/center cover horn honker because it's smaller to fit around the audio controls. Otherwise it was suppose to be no problem & would also supposedly work with single or 6 disc non JBL oem stereos. Decided against it so it got no farther than that. Also was told there's adapters for aftermarket units to utilize the st wheel controls.
