AC light

so, i dont know about you all, but when i am driving in the middle of the night and i look into my rearview mirror, i can see the ac light reflecting off the back window. at first it was fine, but now i am going crazy it so freakin annoying, to top it all off too i am seeing the gauges also!!! i know it would be impossible to find a way to cover up the gauges, but the ac light is somewhat possible. so any ideas besides the obvious covering up with some tape or taking out the led light.....???

You could take a piece of window tint and cover it. I would use 5% or 10%, and cover the whole button. That way you can take it off later without much residue.

just a thought.

BTW - I know what you mean. I see my A/C light in the rear glass all the time. It bothered me once, but I got passed it.

Cheers!

The reflection is pretty amazing. It's probably not a good option in Texas during the summer but in Rhode Island if it's dark out it's usually not hot so when the reflection bothers me I just turn the AC off.

Yes is there all the time, and for those that have a camper it is even worst, because your window is darker and by this the reflection is stronger... but I can live with it.

Not quite the same thing Jedi. It's scary as hell to check the rear view and find yourself being followed by an AC light!

think a lot of trucks have the same trouble, helps with the vertical position of the back glass
my 74 had a EGR light that auto came on at 50 k miles and drove me crazy till i found how to cut the wires ;-D

and with a camper shell oncoming lights would show up a few times in the rear view mirror and at first scared the hell out of me to see a car closing at a hi rate of speed and then disappear
