06 4x4 help
I am a complete noob when it comes to knowing about truck stuff. So anyways I was out mudding today after it finally rained to have a little fun. I decided to put it in 4 wheel drive to see what my taco could do. So I put it in 4x4 and take off towards this puddle. I hit the puddle and water splashed up over the truck.
I am going a little fast so I tap on the breaks......but I can't push them in. I had to push down pretty hard and it sounded kinda bad when I was pressing them in. Finally they worked fine after the truck slowed down a little more. Am I just an idiot or what is going on??? I then took the truck out of 4x4, tested it out, put in back in, and now everything seems to be going fine. What did I do wrong. By the way I have an auto transmission |

I agree - probably wet brakes. The noise was probably the antilock system.
Take that with a grain of salt - I'm not a mechanic, nor a Tacoma owner (yet). |
