2005-2010 tacoma recall???

So Im trying to figure out what exactly I missed this on the evening news...so I guess this is the best place to start, other than the news website, or Toyota themselves (even tho they don't like to admit their flaws). Are there any known serious issues with the accelerator on this BRAND NEW 2010 truck I just purchased for damn near 35 thousand dollars???? And if so, what exactly can I do in the meantime, until a recall is issued by Toyota?, pray on my way to work at 6am that I don't die by hitting a random person at 120 mph? From what I so far understand, this can potentially be a serious issue for us Tacoma enthusiasts, due to the fact that, people have already deceased from this so called "sticky gas pedal issue".

If you have a manual just throw it in neutral if it sticks and let it bounce on the rev limiter. I thought this was just due to the floor mats?

Just get the WeatherTech floor protection system and take the Toyota installed floor mats back to the dealer for a refund. Problem solved.

I've heard of people having problems like this in the past older cars etc. besides these new toyota issues and i always thought why wouldnt you just turn the key off and turn it back to acc so the wheel dosent lock up? Sure you lose power steering etc. but itsnt the thought of crashing full throttle into something worse than say coasting into something at worst?

It's a conspiracy to kill off stupid people. If you can't figure out how to stop a vehicle from accelerating, you die.

Here's a hint, brake pedal, parking brake, ignition, shifter.......damn this topic is old.....

Just wrap a dog leash around the peddle--If it gets stuck, give it a good "yank" like you're starting a chainsaw.
