2010 Tacoma Assembly Factory

Waiting on the delivery of my 2010 TRD Sport 4 door 4x4 it should arrive around the middle of Dec (I'll have a Blue Christmas!) what Plant will this truck be assembled in? Texas plant in San Antonio or Fremont, California? I thought the Tacoma was assembled in Texas now

I don't think the Texas plant is running yet and heard that Nummi here in Kalifornia won't close until spring next year.
My 2010 was built here.
Isn't there a Mexico plant too?

 

I am sure all Canadian Tacoma's are built in the NUMMI Plant (in California) at least until March 2010, then production moves to San Antonio which begins production of the Tacoma in May 2010.

In the U.S. Tacoma's are supplied presently from both NUMMI and Baha California (Mexico)

 

Yeah, I just purchased mine, and the dealer told me March was when it was moving. He mentioned that it would be June before trucks from the new plant were being sold.

 

Just currious, do u pay full price when you order one?

Baja California, MX would be v. likely.

That's where mine was built and atleast with the 2009s there was a poll a few months ago and the majority of the double cabs were from there. All the Access and regular cabs were built in Nummi.

I thought NUMMI was still open until spring 2010 and the Texas plant wasn't starting production until that time?

 

My 2010 Double Cab 4X2 was build in the mexico plant. I'm in SoCal.

I do believe this to be true. My Double Cab TRD Sport was born there

 

Nummi or Baja. We have a Tier 1 plant in Modesto, CA and we're still shipping everything to Nummi or Baja for the time being. I haven't heard when the actual change over will occur.
