Shifting issues? Anyone????

I have an 07 4 dr trd sport long bed .I have a downey coil over lift kit ,285s on 17'' rims ,k&n air filter ,Banks monster exhaust. Can anyone tell me why my truck wont shift into fifth until like 90 mph or close to red line .And does any of these parts make a difference.I know in my ford i just lift the pedal a little then back down and it shifts.I know my taco is no ford but wtf??? anyone with any usefull info on this topic is greatly appreciated thanks Tim.
