New Rotor Choices

    I am thinking of replacing my front rotors. Any suggestions on choice or brand?

    Listen to Chris. Failing that (;)), call Edwin at RaceShopper.com and get set up with some SP Performance slotted rotors and Hawk pads. Best prices, fast-as-hell shipping, and you'll see a dramatic improvement in your braking power.

    I've got them on my Tacoma and have installed them on about 20 different vehicles over the years. Never got a wrong part and never had any warping issues.

    EBC makes rotors for the Tacoma. They are expensive, but about as good as it gets.

    Two reasons.

    The first isn't such a big deal for 99.9% of the world -- the slots provide additional surface area for cooling.

    The second is more real-world. Have you ever driven through deep water and went to step on your brakes only to find that you're not slowing down? That's water between the brake pad and the rotor. The slots give the water a place to escape and provide a bit more "bite".

    The price difference between slotted and regular rotors is negligible so I recommend the upgrade for the peace of mind.

    As for me, I'm a little hard on my toys and appreciate the little extra braking power when it's needed. :D

    Yeah, the SP Performance rotors seem to be the ticket. Price isn't too bad either. Thanks fellas. I will do a DIY when I swap'em out.
