Truck dead!

    Has anyone gotten in there truck and nothing happened.:confused:
    No lights :confused:
    No start :confused:
    No alarm :confused:
    No door locks :confused:
    etc.

    Looked under hood and did that look @ thing and wiggled the batt. cables .
    Then every thing worked ?:confused:

    So now I have to redo the seat belt chime do hicky again.:mad:

    that happened to me it was the battery.

    That was a test.
    Of course I should fix that.
    But NOTHING worked NOTHING .
    I couldn't lock it.
    I know use the key , but you forget you can.
    Also I couldn't shift the truck .
    So what if you broke you Batt. / cable how do you tow it?

    I would recommend take off and clean your battery post and terminals even if they dont look corroded. If you dont have a cleaner its only a few dollars at your local parts store. And tighten down your terminals good and tight. This could help your problem. You might even service your battery and pop the tops off and fill with water.

    4.56 gears, rear trutrac,DT header, 235/85r16 Duratracs, 2nd filter pulled, inter.wipers, Cruise control, Factory alum. whls/winter tires(2nd set), Afe pro Dry-S , Dumbo eared flaps cut down.
    see if the lil green l.e.d. on the battery has any glow, or worse if its yellow.
    and of course , jump start it.

    Bah! I missed the part "....and then it worked" , the beer made it ok though, so no worries here.:drunk:

    Yer bat'ry is commoded man. Git'cher self a metric crescent wench and fix yer stuff man. ...And don't lick the terminal to see if thar is some voltage!:D

    Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    Is there a manual bypass? I think some vehicles have a button or spot where you use the key to override it.

    I've had that on my corolla......if nothing lights up....it could be the alternator went bad.
