AC Adapter power loss

the two round power sources, not the cigarette lighter, the other round power source, to the right, thats the one im talking about

 

Ok thats a DC outlet (aka cig lighter plug etc) it sounds like a loose wire or something is damaged in the outlet itself. You can get a replacement from advance/autozone fairly cheap if the outlet is indeed messed up.

Yea, both of those are DC outlets (they are exactly alike), one just comes with a cigarette lighter and the other comes with a neat cover. If it sometimes charges then you have a connection issue either in the plug itself or with the plug in the rear.

 

to get to them, just pop the ac controls out by prying them out from the bottom, they just snap in. the plugs should be able to be pushed out from the back, check how they are held in, could be some sort of winged flanges.
