So I'm thinking about dropping my bilstein's down and removing my AAL, but wondering if I should go to .85 or 1.75. I don't want 1.75 to make it to high in the front. Searched and found plenty of folks running 1.75 with the TSB but couldn't find anyone with a stock rear.
Can anyone shed a little light on this please?

I'm wondering how much it would sag if you removed the AAL. Why are you doing this? Are you preparing for a different rear setup or just going back to stock?

Yeah thats what I'm trying to figure out....not sure if the AAL changed the stock leafs or not. I'm going back down to stock to get the nice ride/handling and less wear on parts. If I could find a replacement leaf pack that would give stock height that would work nicely.

Run the .85" if stock rear height.

If you want it leveled I would try the .85" as chris4x4 said. If you want stock ride and handling, shouldn't you be at 0"?

Correct, but the .85" setting shouldnt make the ride too much more firm than stock.

I am thinking about moving down to the .85. I'm set at 1.75 and it measures level (7 inches from tire to fender) but it looks higher in the front. If the parking lot is sloed upward it really looks high. The ride is very smooth ar 1.75. I don't have the rear TSB.

I'm running mine at 1.75 with no AAL or TSB and so is my dad on his 07 both of us are 4x4 double cabs, with both sitting level. I have pics in my sig if you would like to see them.

Either way it's going to look good man, I'm just wondering why you are taking the AAL/TSB off?

this is the TSB and 5100 @ .85
I would think the 1.75 would make you nose high

FWIW I just did 5100's on my truck today. I did 1.75" and it is a fair bit higher in front than in back. Trying to decide if I should drop it down. By my measurements, it lifted the truck about 2.5. Did anyone else's settle quite a bit?

Yes, and you are also running a heavier bumper, correct?

This is a Toytec 1.5" AAL, NOT the Toyota leaf spring TSB. I don't need the extra height in the back if I drop the front down to .85". If I need help when carrying loads, I will get some sort of airbag setup, but I will cross that bridge when I come to it.

I set my 5100s at 1.75 (without the TSB leaf springs). The front was a little higher than the rear (maybe 1 inch).

I added a Toytec 1.5" aal and now it sets nice.

I set mine to 1.75 and I am still 1/4" lower in the front, stock rear suspension. Maybe the TRD-OR progressive coils have something to do with it, but my suspension is just about level @ 1.75

Yes my front bumper is heavy, but my dad is all stock and his is level too with the Bilstein 5100 at 1.75"...:notsure:

Ah I see...You might consider taking the AAL off and then looking at the truck again to make sure you want to drop it down to .85". I'm sure whatever you decide to do, the truck will still look awesome :) Good luck man and post up some pics after you get done!
