It's to reset your tire pressure sensor.

resets the tire pressue for all 5 of your tires. Only press that after you have checked your air pressure with a gauge and filled them all to the correct psi.

If they're not at the right pressure the dash light comes back on anyway. Or maybe it's if at least 1 tire is lower than the rest. I'm not sure. I rarely use it as 1 tire would be lower and the light went off by itself once I brought that 1 tire back up to the same pressure as the rest.

I wonder if toyota ever thought about TPMS being thought of as Toyota-PMS.... As in, that's why the truck gets bitchy once a month....

Dude, take it back to the dealer quick!!!! You got screwed... There should be a 'Ready' button on the left and a 'Go' button on the right... I can't believe this, there might be a TSB on this... can't understand why it's happening so often.

I don't mean to come across as a smartass and I know that this might sound a little odd, but take a few minutes and thumb through the owner's manual.

I would of rather had a few other features on the truck instead of this one,
    like heater mirrors !

I can agree with that! I'd love to have heated mirrors. Although the TPMS alerted me to a slow leak in one of my tires. It consistently dropped to around 25PSI without any visible difference between it and the other 3. Came on once before towing near max capacity 200 miles round trip. I'm sure one tire with lower PSI than the other side and towing aren't a good combination.

After the light came on 3 times in a couple months I dumped a small amount of tire slime in the tire and problem solved. Tire has stayed up to pressure for 4-5 months now.
