I would like to remove one of the black plastic blanks that are down by the 12VDC outlets without removing the middle lower dash. IE I would like to pull the blank out from the front, can this be done easily?

I will be removing the HU & AC/heater control panels. I read here somewhere about inserting a makeshift tool & pulling it out. Would I do that at the top & bottom or along the sides...possibly using a thin piece of metal with a bend at the tip? Anyone done this successfully without tearing the dash up? :D

Thanx! I assume you do that top & bottom, correct? Since I'm modifying the blank(USB port) anyway, I'll drill a 3/16" hole in center. Then I can tap & insert a long bolt for some leverage. I also read that you can just reach down from above & barely touch the top clip, after removing AC/heater panel. I'll give it a try! :D
