    Ok, so its not really about the hitch being able to handle the picking?

    yeah it's more so a safety issue of the truck shunting and the hi-lift whipping to one side or the other.

    I have mine on the passenger side the same way.


    And You can't really reach the frame with a high lift, for the previous poster, its tucked under the body.

    Show me some pics!!! I need ideas as I'll be mounting my baseplate up soon. Also think I'll try mounting the jack on the passengers side to balance out the back weight wise.
