08 Toyota supplied alarm unlocks the door, but doesn't lock it.

I have the additional alarm installed by Toyota. It has an additional flashing LED near the steering column.

The top button of the key fob usually honks the horn and lock both doors, but now does nothing.

It does unlock the doors though. The spare has the same issue, so it's not a problem in the fobs. It's with the alarm.

What to do? What to do?

 

Go back to the dealer. They installed it and it should be no problem to get it straightened out. Good luck.

edit: Did you try reprograming it to do something fancy like described in some of the other threads?

 

Mine has always worked perfectly. I would bring it back to the dealer immediately.

 

No reprogramming done. Just stopped working.
