Do any of you guys really use your Tacoma's to tow trailers, or just the general dirtbike or quad and the occasional trip to the dump? I've got a trailer brake controller and i tow our Kubota L3130 Backhoe on a 18' flatbed behind mine once in a while..... It's about 7000lbs loaded trailer weight when all is said and done. It's quite a load, but it gets it moving up to highway speeds just fine. I'll post a pic the next time i haul it.

Well...Haven't towed with it yet. Only owned it a year....

Helped haul all sorts of stuff for everyone else in our family.

This spring, it'll be MULCH time! I'll see how these TSB springs stand up to a scoop of mulch! I'll make sure to tell the bobcat driver to drop it in slowly...in case even these springs can't handle a full scoop.

yeah, i've got the weak stock springs, but i've got a procomp aal in it so i don't think they'll replace mine. I did get the intake rattle fixed and mentioned the tailgate TSB (bent mine the first month. tailgate wasnt a match for my DR brush mower) and got a call yesterday saying they'll replace it. Guess the TSB trick works. well, no more tangents.. back on topic for me.

We are looking to buy a trailer for camping this summer. Trips to Nova Scotia and camping around Ontario will get more comforatable. Two kids and their friends in the tent, parents in the camper! Sounds like a plan eh!

Yup... mainly a daily driver though.. but when camping season comes I pull my 26' travel trailer.. about 5000lbs loaded.

60,000 miles on the truck and about 3000 miles of that towing the trailer. Occassionally it will haul plants and dirt for my backyard as well. Oh then their's ski season and mountain bike season. Always something in the bed of the truck it seams.

Geeze.. just noticed I need to update my photo. Truck doesn't quite look like that anymore with the extras added since the photo.

I haven't used it to its full potential yet. But one reason i wanted a truck was so i'd have something to pull my boat when i get one. although that boat seems to get further and further away....

I hear ya there.... gas prices suck. I would have bought something that gets better mileage, but i need a truck to haul stuff and you can't beat Toyota reliability and resale.

Sadly enough no........I've had it for almost a year and only have 842 miles on it. Once I finish the work on it or run out of money, I will use it more.

Being that I could only get the V6 in the doublecab, I would say I use it everyday as it was supposed to be. Other than that, trips to the dump, hardware store and to tow my bikes. Works great for all that.

i tow a 5,000 pound powerboat, and a 2,000 pound catamaran. it does the job perfectly. it's also a great help to get to some pretty remote mountain biking places.
