A/C issue... not sure what the problem is.

This is well out of season, but the heater TSB reminded me of the problem. I've had this happen twice now, once each summer that I've owned my Taco.

I've had a problem with the A/C or heater control going completely dead. I believe both times the A/C has been on full blast or near it, and it suddenly stops blowing air. Moving the dial or turning to heat leaves the system unchanged, and both times it miraculously returned to normal after ~15 minutes. Both times this occured, I was around 8-10k ft elevation, but I'm not sure if that is relevant. At any rate, it seems as though the fan simply turned off both times, as no air was coming through the vents at all.

Has anyone else had this problem? I'm still under warranty, but with such a sparatic issue, I'm not sure how to diagnose the problem.

Sounds like the heater relay is getting hot and going open it control's the blower motor once it cools down it goes back to working fine. I have replaced a few heater relay's on other models of Toyota's kind of a common problem that's where I would start by replacing the relay.
