Found a 2009 Tacoma 4x4 Reg Cab TRD Off Road!

...used with a little over 1,000 miles on it. At a dealership that isn't a Toyota dealership.

When I told them that such a thing doesn't exist, they got all defensive and called the Toyota dealership that sold it originally and, according to the sales guy, were told that yes it is a TRD Off Road.

It has aluminum wheels with the TRD center caps and skid plates and TRD decals. I don't think they believed me when I told them someone bought that stuff and put it on.

It is a shame that the Toyota dealer they called lied ( I am going by what I was told - not what I know) to them - and, I guess, to the original person that bought the truck.

And - it is bright red which I thought was not made in 2009; guess I was wrong.

What is a realistic price for this 4 cyl truck? I think the wheels must be the same ones that come on the TRD off road.

Sounds like a heck of a deal. You'd have the only one Toyota ever made as far as I know! Definately avoid that one...

 

Toyota never made a TRD Offroad in a Reg. cab 4 cyc.

Tell them you will take it for $3000+/- below what a reg cab blue book is, or you will turn them in to the police for parts stolen from other vehicles and/or call the Better business bureau for knowingly selling a falsified vehicle... And a platinum toyota warranty.
Screw it, turn em in anyway and avoid the Truck.

 

No it's not, I have a non-TRD SR5 truck, and it doesn't have the power supply.

^ They didn't Make RADIANT RED in 2009! I promise you that. Either its an 08 or Full Custom Repaint. Sounds either really Custom or Fishy! Make sure to do a complete check before buying. I don't think someone who go out of their way to paint a 1K 2009 Tacoma a Radiant Red. Something must of happened.

Seriously guys, if the TRD off road sticker can be removed it does have added value of the alloy wheels and skid plates; something like $600 or so?

 

I haven't had the opportunity to see any of the red Tacoma's (nothing but silver and white around here). I guess it may be the barcelona red - have to find out. If not, I agree. Wreck city repaint.
It wasn't the exact same color as your picture.

^ Ohhh OK. When you say Bright Red and stated they didn't make them in 09. I agreed with you. However they did have that so called Barcelona Red. Its nice, but not bright Red!

the dealer could have added those as dealer installed options...although ive never heard of any dealer going as far as putting the sticker on...and the rims, are they just the TRD ones from the catalog? cause ive seen those rims on trucks at my dealership..

X2 ask if it has the rear locker...that seems to be the only legit thing that a dealer wouldn't really be able to put...unless they really, really wanted to

sometimes dealers will add rims and tires into the package but to go as far as to call it a TRD...thats super fishy...
