Well I had to hook up my trailer today and wasn't in a hurry so I used my back up camera. I put the hitch ball directly under the trailer, got out and it was in perfect position. I lowered the trailer onto the ball, I was so happy since I first thought it was a useless option.

I still turn it off while backing out of the driveway and at night because it ruins my night vision. But at least it has a purpose now.

Used it all summer to hook up my pop up! Use it to back into the garage for maximum front clearance to close the door.

    Useless option?! Heresy!

I am totally addicted to that stupid thing ever since getting my truck. I feel naked now in my DD that doesn't have one.

Great feature for hooking up a trailer. I keep impressing people who don't know I have it. The only problem is I have to put glasses on to see the little screen.

Only way I can back into my two car garage without pushing the workbench through the wall. I'm afraid I may become too dependent on it. It is good to have.

Save up for a Navi HD and get an aftermarket camera. They are much better quality. I will be adding a differenct camera once I get around to it.

I love mine as well. Pulling the boat, and especially parallel parking lol! You can see the car behind you, as well as the white lines marking parking spots. One of those things (like my first cell phone) where I thought "I wonder if I will really use it much?"

I cant imagine being without it now lol.

I love my camera, my step daughter parks in the driveway on my side. My driveway is a good size hill and trying to back down that without hitting her car would be nasty.

I think it is great. Great for trailering, and especially great for looking for kids bikes and toys behind the truck...and even small kids!

I am anxious to hook up my camper using the backup camera but probably won't until next spring.

Do you find that distances appear further away than they actually are with the camera?
