Why would you run it dry? Do you have something against your fuel pump?

    Too few to list.
In my experience, the light comes on at about 18-18.5 gallons used but you can definately go more miles pass the E but since the fuel pump uses the gas for cooling, its not really recommended.

When the gas light comes 'on' - you can get approx. 60 miles after that.
I've been within 20 miles of empty (according to my scangauge).
    And yeah...it's a 21 gallon tank.

not to many, love it the way it is
yep, keep some gas in those tanks, the fuel pump is keeping itself cool from the liquid gas. drop to low and the fuel pump gets hot and burns out prematurely

I pumped 20.7 into my 09 on the first tank. I'd been reading on here that the light came on at 17 gallons, so I based my milage and how far I could go on that. Turns out my light comes on at 18 gallons. Yup, it was too close even for me, lucked out....
