    - I've got an 09' DC 4x4 TRD Sport V6 with an auto transmission. The truck has 6,000 freeway miles on it with full synthetic mobile 1.

Like clock work when I place the truck in drive and pull away I hear a (gas piston like) noise from under the hood. It reminds me of the gas piston on old screen doors. Being patient with my first new car I let it warm up and no matter if I run it cold or hot it still makes this sound.

    Is this normal ?
Does anyone else have this experience?

I've been too busy working to head over to the stealership, but any word would help ease my mind until I get a free time to have them take a look at it.

    Thanks in advance.

My '10 does the same thing. Supposedly it is something to do with the self-diagnostics of the traction control system.

You will also hear it when you hit a big enough bump or pothole.
