I am interested in installing the factory toyota roof rack on my 2008 double cab. I had a few questions for anyone that could help:

    1. Do you have to drill any holes into the vehicle for the toyota factory roof rack?

    2. If you have this roof rack installed, can you post some pictures?

    3. Are there other roof rack options anyone could suggest instead of the factory roof rack from toyota?

If anyone could help me out with this I would appreciate it, thanks.

    1) No drilling. Holes are already there under the rubber strips that run the length of the roof on the left and right sides.

Got mine from Frank Toyota on ebay. Price was as good or better than trdparts4u.com.

Can't go wrong with the foldaway crossbars on the OEM Toyota rack. Install is ok except the last bolt will require a bit of effort using a line up tool.

I have a pair of Thule racks on my double cab. Very secure mounting and when I don't need them it's a couple of minutes to remove.
