Painting Tacoma Symbol

Hey guys, is there a special paint I use to paint the front toyota symbol on my grill? Or do i just use like krylon flat black

 

any paint really. but krylons good so stick to that. it dosent have to be flat black, u can use gloss or anything u like.

personally i used krylons ultra flat black.

 

Just make sure to sand the sheen off the chrome first. It will last longer that way.

 

Thanks for the tips! I haven't pulled it off yet, but do i have to take the whole grill off or does it just clip off?

 

I used Krylon fusion black paint, A few coats of that and a few coats of clear coat and everything has been good.

 

I sanded, used adhesion promoter and primered. Then I base coated body color and one coat of clear(didn't want it too shiny).

it just clips off open your hood and reach you hand in the back... otherwise its like 2 scres and a bunch of plastic little things to take off the whole grill

 

it's raining buckets here in sac, but im headed to home depot to get the paint!
