What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Hmmm, have you been to this body shop before? I would never have my truck painted while being masked off, only a matter of time before part shift an vibrate causing the pain the crack and peel back. Also are they doing a solvent blend on your boxside? Over time in the elements it will begin to fade and become very noticeable, especially on a dark vehicle. No doubt solvent blends and masking off parts is a cheaper way to do things, but that's just what it is cheap. But to each his own, I thought I would just share this bit of info in case you didn't know and wanted it to last a long time. But if you want/need to save money this is the route you wanna go. good looking truck, am i the only one who is concerned about them putting in their bulk 0w-30? can you run 0w-30?

 

ive been running 0-20 for a long time, zero issues, ive even went as far to check oil breakdown and cylinder compression

i do run the occasional 0-30 depending on if I take it in, or if I do it is when that happens

 

I wish that space was free under my hood, stupid brakes.

 

but you have a really nice spot in the box of the truck

22mpg's is good...but a 4cyl w/ 5 speed stick one would expect.

especially hwy miles (I see the cruise light)

I'd think I could get 22mpg's from my V6 auto on the hwy.

 

Taking an A/C break after just doing a 5-tire rotation. I have to do it since I can't trust the knuckle-draggers at the tire shop to do it right. Wish I could've let them do it because it's hot as balls out in the garage!

 

best I could get is 21.5 mpg with the same truck. I also do 85 and have an aggressive tire on the truck. I also noticed I can go 99 miles after the low fuel light comes on in my truck with another gallon to go at fill up.

 

I did 5 oil changes to get the milkshake out

 

is 550 too much for an FJ auto t-case from 08 ....

i think its a little above the norm, but seems to be the only one on the market

 

Tailgate badges, side badges and wheels. I also have paint to hit the wheels if/when the dip starts to peel.





Debating on the bumper....

 

That's 22.79 MPGs with a 3" lift and AC on doing 75MPH 90% 70 MPH 5% & 35 5% of the time. It's also so a up & down hilly drive that goes from 4450 ft to 4000 ft & back 7 times.
I usualy get 23.5 to 24.5 without AC

 

22.79 mpg is impressive considering your speed and set-up.
