What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Good News: Bought 2 brand new BFG AT KO's
Bad News: They were $613.00 for the pair
Good News: Tire shop offered to re-balance the front wheels, I said I've had them balanced 8 times but I still have a steering wobble. He offered to do for free so I said why not. Got my truck back, and wouldn't ya know it...no wobble!
Bad News: I gotta buy another set of tires for the front very soon.

i installed a brushguard on my 08 lifted dc, and also put two kc Apollo 151's on it pretty sick setup it you ask me!

I think these guys just weren't in a hurry, and everybody working there was loving my Taco. I got the guys name, I was pretty involved in the whole install today. At one point everybody stopped working and just started asking me questions about it. They got a kick outta the fact it was covered in mud, actually. I like to wear the mud, because out here, most Tacos never see dirt. It's a nice change of pace.

Picked up a deaver pack...stockies were completely flat.
Now I gotta get new shocks.

Pulled a big 0l ' screw out of my tire and pulled out the spare for the first time. It's amazing the difference in tread on these rugged fails in only 15K miles! What a crappy tire

 

I paid them $613.00 for two tires, if they gave me shit about the mud, I'd grab one of their free water bottles and splash a few drops on each wheel.

 

^$613! They better balance my shit for free and get rid of the wobble. That wobble gone is the reason why I'd be ok with the price. If not, you got bent. ​

 

Yeah I was much happier after I got in my truck and drove off. That steering wobble I had was nuts...it was to the point where my passenger seat was coming loose from shaking so much on the highway. It's now completely eliminated.

The $613.00 was including balance 4 tires, check Spidertrax torque, wire-wheel the wheel surfaces and ofcourse the lifetime warranty on the tires, meaning if anything were to happen to it I just bring it back and they swap it for free.

 

Might have just needed a dynamic balance instead of a static balance. Fixed many 'tire shakes' just by balancing the tires the correct way.

 

Finally installed my AP Sliders (10 days after arrival)

Painted, drilled, and mounted.

 

I put lights in the bed of the tk, Put a Plasmaglow on the back & Back up light on the back of her, Chaged All the bulbs expt for turn signials to LED, Put Rugged Mats in ft BTW the rears will be out in late November!! , Put EBC Yellow pads & cross drilled rotors on FT, A MUST HAVE, Rubber matt in bed, She is a 2011 with 6500 miles on her....
