$99 bucks only used have the kit comes with a pnuematic spray gun. 3 coats on the floor 2 on sidewalls and top rail. seen a bunch of jeep guys doing it and figured if its good enough for that POS i should do wonders for a tacoma.

 

I've been putting this off for a long damn time. I need to just do it.

 

its simple, plus now that the plastic top rail is gone i have like 30 new tie down points. spray time was about 45 mins or so. prep took a little bit cuz my bed was pretty muddy. im anxious to see how it holds up. about an hour after i finished and it was lookin super clean and new, a bird drop a present in it for me and i was once again humbled.

 

Why not put the plastic back on the the bed sides?

weight reduction? why would i? this is the 3rd time ive heard this since yesterday. i dont see the point of putting them back in. it looks different from everyone elses and i kinda like it that way.

 

Did you tape off the back of the cab and shit like that for overspray? I was gonna do the roll yer own.

 

yeah i used some old school printer paper (the perforated opposing folded kind) to cover the window and bed sides and tailgate. i still got a little bit of overspray like enough to feel not so much see, but i found out with a dirty truck it comes off pretty easy with some rubbing compound, so i recomend not washing your truck before application just in case.

 

why wouldn't you? if you like the way it looks, that's one thing. but they actually do serve a purpose in protecting that part of the bed.

that bedliner looks really good though man. this is on my to-do list for sure.

It gets windy here every damn day so overspray would drive me insane. Don't get me wrong, i'd wrap the shit out of my truck ..but still..!!

For $99 that shit looks awesome man.

 

10k miles on my stock fails & I still don't get why everyone hates em... When aired down to 18-20 psi they wrap around rocks , stay on top of sand & handle fairly well...?
Maybe I'm just that green & will be blown away with a set of different ones?

I would suggest Monstaliner, it has a 5 year UV rating. It's a 2 part product that roll's on so you don't have to worry about the spray on. The roller is textured and gives it that look.
