Damn, didn't think to do that. Guess I'll install a crush washer on my next change.

Body color painting my grill surround as we speak. Everything came out amazing until the last coat of clear and I got a little run in it. Oh well it will sand/buff out and get another shot if clear!

    The match is perfect!

Picture and a how to later!

I bought my Rotopax from their website. I got the bed rail mount kit. The mounting bolts rusted, so I replaced them with stainless. Then last week, I carried my cans with me for the first time out in the woods. The rail mount plates rattled off of the rails!! The little cams that go in the rails, are just not rated for any kind of weight. So I need to modify how I mount them. Other than these issues, I think that they are a great product. The way Dave mounted them is the best way - thru bolt the plates on.

I'd be too worried someone would crawl under and open up the valve. :/

If you're worried about that then I think you have many other, bigger items you need to be worried about.

Don't worry. The worst case is 5quarts of oil on the ground will be a dead give away that someone messed with you. Close the valve, then put more oil in, say "one for my Dino hommies" and drive off.

I bought the rail mounts from their site as well, they had some special going at the time, so I got 2 mounts pretty cheap. I bought the rotopax itself and the lox/non-lox mount from another member here. Like UncleArt said, the mounting bolts rusted pretty quickly. I am actually using the cams though, I didn't drill through. I really had to hold my mouth right to get them to lock in but I cranked them down so hard, they aren't going anywhere. Overall, I was pretty disappointed in the quality of the mount stuff, considering how much they charge for it.

The cans are really nice, and never leak, but damn, you'd think they could use half decent metal.

I just remounted my CB/FM antenna from Nestor aka http://www.nestahedition.com

I had broken the stud that originally came with the antenna. I had to throw the thing on a lathe to drill and re-tap. Since I still wanted to mount the thing I made a universal adapter that threads right into any standard 3/8x24 CB antenna to our AM/FM mount. Works like a charm and if it happens to brake again, I simply replace the conversion piece. 304 stainless FTW!

    Sorry for the crappy pics.

I'd be curious to know if anyone else has broken one of Nesters antennas while on the truck. I broke mine while it was off being stupid.

Yep, same for a drain plug when that same rock punches a hole in your pan.

It's a bit long. I'm going to cut my extension in half. I should still be able to get a hose on though.

Skids should take care of any issues off roading and the F-103S model is ideal for this application.

With how big the hole is on mine, it would be pretty unlikely a rock shaped like that would have the structural integrity to do any damage. I'm not running a valve so not worrying about it.
