OMG!!! I am so aggravated with this Viper 4105v remote start. The damn thing won't crank the truck on the first time. I have adjusted it to a crank time of 4.0 seconds now, and I have reset the virtual tach on it too. I am a huge fan of DEI products, but this is frustrating. I don't know why my 2012 TRD Sport is not letting it crank on the first time?

Added a fishing rod holder in the slider system, I like it for about a 25 dollar mod. All I have to do now is spray the little nuts black so they don't stick out like sore thumbs photo40_zps6883f6ba_e0a50bc71a24ef93cc402def5821489cd23b61bd.jpg

Dang man, that sucks. I was hoping resetting the Tach Mode would fix it. I'm not familiar with the 4105v, so I could be about to tell you to check some things that might not exist but here's what I'm thinking.

Check to make sure the Transmission Mode is set to the correct setting (manual if you have a manual transmission, automatic if you have an automatic transmission). Check that the Engine Cranking Mode is set to Virtual Tach AND THEN change the crank time to a shorter time. And the only other thing I'd check is the Tach Mode Starter Release; make sure it's set to Normal (I bet it is though).

If you still can't figure it out, try posting your issue on the12volt.com. The guys in the car security section of that forum are really helpful and know their stuff.

I used some bolts and put some larger washers on it so that the head won't slip through the slider rails. I had to drill out the rack itself so that the bolt would go through the hole. I'm not a very mechanical guy and I found this to be pretty easy.

Bought it off Amazon. It is also sold under the "Smittybilt" name but it is the exact same bar. I think I payed $145 for it.

Every time I wash my truck I find more dents in my doors from parking lot assholes who like to swing their doors open without paying attention or who just don't give a shit. I need armor to protect my truck from the public more so than trails. Can't wait to get sliders and have someone swing their door open and dent in the edge of their door! lol
