Aloha. I'm interested in removing the seat/storage unit in my '06 Access Cab. I would like to replace it with more usable storage, like locking toolboxes, for example. My plan would be to bolt the boxes to the floor. One box would accessible from each side of the cab. Ultimately, I would like to build a deck behind the seats, level with the tops of the tool boxes, so the dog would have a level area back there. I envision open space under the deck, accessible from the side doors, for less valuable stuff.

If anyone has any experience with such a modification, or any ideas, I'd be happy to hear from you.

    Thanks!
