Just took delivery of my 2010 Sport (Canada) on Friday, It came with the carpeted mats installed, I removed them anyway and installed weathertecs..
    Here's what Toyota Canada says...
"Toyota supplies two types of floor mat for all Toyota vehicles. One has a carpet top surface, the other is made completely of black rubber and is known as an All Weather Floor Mat. This communication relates solely to the "Rubber All Weather Floor Mat".

I heard they were providing magnets for customers to attach to the bottom of their shoes so we can pull the gas pedal up with our foot if it gets stuck.

OEM all weather mats here too...with fucking clips. Got OBX pedal covers too, just to elongate the gas pedal another 1/8th inch to reeeaaaallllly live dangerously, lol. MF'ers are NOT trimming or replacing my gas pedal come spring 2010 & unless I get another FULL set of AC all weather mats that I like better than the ones I have now, those will stay too!

Lovin the quote above above about every stupid asswipe havin to be accomodated at all costs. Really sums up one of the ways this country is going to hell in a handbasket at the speed of light nowadays!

I don't think its the floor mats that are the problem, its the fact that there isn't any damn room down there.. Sucks trying to drive with size 11 LaCrosse Iceman boots or any large boots!! I've hit the gas and the brake, the brake and gas...sort sucks throwing coffee all over your friends etc when it happens. There should be more room between the pedal the floor and the bottom of the dash.

I pulled my carpet Toyota floor mat out....

And only because they were hiding underneath my Husky liners and I actually had the truck at the dealership and didn't want them to make any comments about it.

When the recall comes out...I'll have it done. I'm not letting them cut my pedal now though...that's retarded.

My weathertechs are staying put. I checked them out and there's no way the accelerator pedal can get stuck because of them.
