    All you guys running a TRD cold air intake, is it worth the $300?

    Likes / dislikes would you recommend?
    Thx

    I had an AFE, which is basically the same as the TRD and although I noticed a slight increase in power at Wide Open Throttle, I lost low end torque and 2 mpg...not to mention it was loud. Sold it 3 months later.

    I opted for the AFE drop in filter as an after market option and have been happy with it.

    I'm getting worse gas mileage, i'm sure its due to me stomping it more to hear the throaty sound the intake makes! Its worth it to me!

    2 MPG!!! :eek::eek:

    That just kind of shot down my idea of getting one. To OP, at random times, this seller on eBay will have them for $250 with free shipping. Many people on here have got one from him, and they seem to be satisfied with his service. Even though he doesn't currently have one for sale, other members have said that if you e-mail him through his eBay store, he'll get you hooked up with what you need... http://motors.shop.ebay.com/teamxtremeauto/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=

    I have had CAI on all my vehicles and never had it decrease my MPG when I drove normal. It's supposed to bring in more cold dense air that burns more efficiently. Some times it takes the computer a week or two to learn the new mod...at least it did on my previous trucks and cars. I still fully plan on getting an AFE for my truck when I have the money, for now i have the drop in AFE.

    it may be possible that the decrease in mpg is from flooring it. i have the trd intake and i love it. runs great. install was easy. sounds great. love the little extra when you stomp it. overall great product. i would also look at the afe cai i think its the stage 2 sealed. its the same as the trd. afe makes it for trd. in fact i think while i was doing the install i saw some of the parts stamped with afe. check on different sites and see which of the two is cheaper. but i definitely recommend this.

    Hey guys Im looking for a TRD cold air intake for a 2017 tacoma. Im guessing the one that fit on the 16 would work. But I can not find any online for that year. The TRD site has no images, details, or pricing for it. Please hit me with some knowledge!

    I've been trying to locate the TRD intake for a 2016 Tacoma Off Road 4x4. I spoke with my local dealer who stated that there was a 'stop sale' on that part by Toyota. I'm not sure what that means. I called Sparks Parts who told me that they haven't been released yet (they have 3 on back order). No one has been able to give an eta. I got the same responses when I inquired about the TRD cat back exhaust.

    How would it draw hot engine bay air if it is a cold air intake? That doesn't make sense

    He's a marine. Show some fucking respect. Oh BTW the irony of you saying that and using the word "your" instead of "you're".
