hood flutter at high speeds?

    dual exhaust, foglight anytime, satoshi, chlm, aux backup lights and electric fan conversion
    Does anyone else here get hood flutter around 85mph? I did the satoshi grill and i'm wondering if it might have caused this but i honestly can't remember seeing it before.

    mine does it like crazy, but only because my hoods under structure is not holding the top layer together because of some serous dents so it just goes up and down, plus my hood needs some adjusting

    Mine does it on the side I have a dent. No latch issues here. Really Toyota should have used steel for their hood or some material that is a little more rigid. The thing dents fairly easily.

    It wold probably flutter less if it was braced better.

    The only place the bracing on the hood touches the skin is on the furthest points of the hood and is attached by what looks to be pinch welds.

    The rubber things on the sides of the hood need to be twisted/adjusted. Mine did that until I adjusted them.

    Of course my truck also has a transmission dip stick its funny to see the reaction at the dealership when they pop the hood. Most of the techs usually try saying that I added it but it was there when I got the truck. No sealed trans for me. My taco is different from most.

    I had the same problem with my hood bouncing on the corners. I loosened these rubber stoppers, and problem solved!

    Yes its a 2.7 but even with the AW trans. alot of them don't have dipsticks.

    I put the Westin Bull Bar and Side Steps (in black) on.
    Mine has done that ALOT.... for 57K!!! I didn't know that those were adjustable. Just messed with mine. I'll see what it sounds like tomorrow morning. Thanks for the tip Soundman!!!

    i adjusted mine and went for test drives until it stopped but then my hood-fender gaps were horrible so i put it back down til they were flush and now i just won't speed til i at least get hood pins. oh and my latch was perfectly tight
